Cars in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then discovered multiple other marked cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis show the fluid was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials said they were working "to solve the case" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking official said the vandalism left him speechless and had to be solved quickly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, recalling the murder of nine people by a gunman targeting people of migrant background in February 2020.
