Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
